In 1896, a few people in a small office in Luton, Beds, served a handful of clients. Fast forward 120 years to today and Keens Shay Keens MK is now the most established and one of the largest independent accountancy practices in the area.
With five partners and a team of more than 50 staff and specialists, Keens Shay Keens MK are dedicated to helping people prosper. Our clients mean everything to us and we work alongside them, offering expert advice and support, to make sure they reach their goals.
Based in the local area since before Milton Keynes was a twinkle in the planners’ eye, we work with clients on a local, national and international level. Keens Shay Keens MK has been situated in the heart of Central Milton Keynes since 1986 and you’ll see from our timeline below that our roots in the area go back even further to 1946. This heritage combined with our longstanding track record in helping clients achieve success, makes us the original MK accountants.

Keens Shay Keens opens in Luton, Bedfordshire
Practice is opened in Stony Stratford, later to merge with HS Baker & Co. Bletchley in the 1950’s
Milton Keynes is formally designated as a ‘new town’
HWS forms in Bletchley
Newport Pagnell office opens
Keens Shay Keens acquire a practice in Winslow, Bucks
Staff of the Bletchley office are moved to Central Milton Keynes headed up by Paul Davis.
Stony Stratford practice is sold1986 – Stony Stratford practice is sold
Bletchley and Newport Pagnell offices move to Central Milton Keynes
Keens Shay Keens MK become an independent practice, distinct from the remaining Keens Shay Keens grouping
Firm becomes an LLP
HWS merge with Keens Shay Keens MK and HWS Keens Ltd becomes a subsidiary of the main practice
